Mondays

The Boxgrove group offers 2/3 walks a month from the Boxgrove shops, typically on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of the month. The walks go to Merrow Downs, and Riverside Park/or around Stoke Park on muddy rainy days.

Should there be a 5th Monday, then the walk will go to Pewley Down. 
Meet at 9.45 am for 10 am start next to Peacocks Greengrocer, Boxgrove shops, Cunningham Avenue, GU1 2PF.

Take bus 23, or park along the neighbouring roads.

On the first Monday of the month, we either walk in Ripley or at Newlands Corner. 

The walk leader confirms where walks start from on the  WhatsApp group chat a few days beforehand. Message 07554 423010 if you would like to be added to the Boxgrove walk group WhatsApp. 

Meet at 10 am in the car park nearest the play area on Ripley Green, GU23 6AN.

Or meet at 10 am at Newlands Corner Visitor Centre.

Both walks start at 10.15 am.

On the 3rd Monday of the month, we walk at the Sheepleas, West Horsley, or at Newlands Corner.

Meet at 10 am in the car park behind St Mary’s Church (on the Guildford to Leatherhead Rd, opposite Horsley Place). 

Or meet at 10 am at the Visitor Centre, Newlands Corner.

The walks start at 10.15 am.

Optional refreshments after the walks at Esquires, Boxgrove shops; The Jovial Sailor in Ripley; The Duke of Wellington pub or at Squires Garden Centre; the Plucky Pheasant at Newlands Corner.
